For the last month or so whenever I click logout the screen goes black/white as usual but I may have to wait up to 4 minutes before the logout box is displayed. I'm on IE8.0 and XP2K. Any other issues like this reported? Thanks Ron
I don't have an answer, but I do have a question. I have never ever logged out. Why would anyone want to logout? I'm a moderator on another site. Most of our difficulties are because someone logged out. Lost their password, etc. I never log out and have never had a problem. m2cw. Cheers, Jim CCRR/Socalz44
Excepting occasions when I flush cookies, etc, from my machine, I always stay logged in. I just tried the log-out, and it took 2-3 seconds. Boxcab E50
Same here, just tried this at the office where we run IE7 on XPSP3 and was able to log off as quickly as I could click on the Log Out link and push the "OK" button from the small confirmation window that pops up to ask me if I really wanted to log off. Are you seeing a delay of the Pop-Up confirmation window showing up or a delay after pressing the "OK" button on the confirmation window? MY gut tells me it's something local to your PC being the issue; but, not sure what that would be... :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused:
Ron, it's seems like something local on your machine or from your ISP. I log in/off from five computers without problems. Every once in a while it takes a few minutes, but that's usually when everything else take a few minutes, due to traffic locally.
It's the wait time for the small confirmation window to pop up. Pete's most likely right it's either my PC or ISP provider. Not a major issue just wondering if others have it happen to them. Thanks See ya Ron
