I did a topic on this in N Scale awhile back but I only have a few N scales in my collection compared to HO so I thought I would take some time out during the long weekend to show off some of my D&H collection and would enjoy seeing some of yours too. Accurail#1512

I'm sort of laughing at you because we both live in DRGW territory and we model less common lines that it's hard to buy models for. We really should be modelling DRGW.lol
My previous modeling days was just a mixture of roads with my teenage layout in my parents basement and then D&H was something that fell into by accident. If I ever get a G Scale going in my backyard it won't be in D&H (Wife's orders ) and will likely be Colorado related. Given that I never have time to get back into modeling beyond collecting D&H models for display along side actual historic items the "G" will likely be the first real layout seen at my home.
I was into modeling the D&H many years ago. I still have all of the D&H HO locomotives I built, some of which were for contest. I have a question, I built a C-628 back in the early 90's from two Altlas shells (a C-424 and a C-425) and a scratch built underframe. I built the locomotive from a photo that I purchased at a train show. The photo was in black and white but I did find a picture of the same locomotive in a CTC Board mag that was in color. The locomotive had a strange mistake in the paint job, it had a yellow lightning strip but the blue was painted wrong. The locomotive also had all weather cab windows which I had never seen on a D&H locomotive. My question is, have you ever seen this locomotive and do you have any information on it. Here is a picture of the model I made.
