While I haven't installed one in the particular configurations you have, if they are assembled anything like the IHC Premier 4-8-2 they are very simpe to install in the tender with only drilling a small hole in the tender and one below the cab. I used a Digitrax DH123 and changed the wires to a more flexible 32 gauge black that I bought at "radio shack". I changed the wires for two reasons, 1. for extra flexibility between tender and loco and 2. to keep all the wires black. (If you run and solder one at a time from the decoder to the loco, you can keep track easily. Hope this helps you out. Ray
