I am going to buy a few TCS decoders for my engines - http://www.tcsdcc.com - but am a little confused as I have never bought any before.

A given in all this is they have to be small!

Now, my old time MDC 2-8-0 I want to go forwards, backwards and be able to limit the top speed. This kit does not have any lights so lighting control is not of a major concern.

My 2 Shays will basically be the same as the 2-8-0 but may have detail lights installed if I can bring myself to drill a hole in the boilers [IMG]

So, out the the M1, M2, T1 & T2 decoders on the TCS site, which would you recommend?

    Cheers

    Bruce,

I haven't used TCS decoders yet but the T1 and T2 might be a bit large. But you would know that best.

You might consider the Digitrax DZ123 which is about the same size at the TCS "M" decoders and about the same price as the "T" decoders.
