am going to start trying to install decoders in my n scale steam engines. i have lots of them the new bachmann Connie, athearn 2-6-0 and 2-8-0, model power pacific mikado and Atlantic, kato mikado and several kato Japanese steam, micro ace 0-6-6-0. as this be new to me what is a safe easy start to build up the confidence to tackle the non dcc ready engines? and where can i get a decoder at the best price
If I were you, I'd run right over to Litchfield Station right there in the Phoenix area. They have helped me over the phone and always have what I need in stock. P.S. - I'd start with the Bachmann 2-8-0. It's simple and you'll be very happy with the results. While you're working on the 2-8-0, change out the LED with something a little brighter. I'm sure Litchfield can help with that too.
