Is anyone planning to make or currently does make a decoder for these? Can't seem to see why they wouldn't but I don't know who does. Any ideas? Thanks, Bryan
Frame is not DCC ready so you need a dremel or similar and a TCS M-1, or Digi DZ123, or DZ143. The other option is the Aztec frame swap and again a mini decoder wired in.
Might also check the last N Scale Railroading magazine. Could be wrong on magazine too. Had an article on converting the GP60 to accepting a Digi DZ decoder. Looks like a pretty simple job.
Walt Huston wrote the article, which was in NSR two issues ago, I think. Either way, Aztek makes the frames you need to add a DZ123/143 or another decoder to get yourself running. Walt's instructions are a good reference for this project. Kel
You can also put in a New Lenz mini gold series decoder in The LL GP -60. This decoder is 2/3 rds the size of the above mentioned decoders and that would require less milling of the frame. Stay cool and run steam....
