Hello again! In this post I’m curious to the experiences anyone has had with converting the Bachmann Thomas and Friends series line to DCC. I’m interesting in this due to my layout having a british steam age theme to it and most UK manufactures are not in stock in the US or may not be available at all. I know that the motors Bachmann used in the line aren’t the best compared to some of the UK manufactures as well as their main line, but to save on cost they are the closest British type of Locomotives and rolling stock readily available here in the US. Then I run into one last problem, almost none of the Bachmann Thomas and Friends line is DCC Ready and I’m not sure if their chassis are able to be converted. I plan on a decent size DCC shunting layout so oof. I don’t mind doing some soldering and fixing them up myself if it is doable. Has anyone fitted them with DCC or maybe share their experience with the process of it. Thanks again guys for answering all my noob questions XD
