Thanks ednsfan! The DT400 shouldn't be a problem. I have been using one the last 3.5 years w/ my Super Empire. I love the thing. I am anxious to check out the UT-4R. I picked my new set up this morning. The fellow I purchased it let me run his layout equipped w/ a radio rig. The UT-4R is awesome. That is good advice regarding the polarity. I am getting ready to build the coal branch line where I plan on using my old booster. I will make a note of this and stick in the box w/ the DB150. One of the things I have read much about was the slight control delay w/ the radio units. The delay in the one I tried this morning was imperceptible. I found this especially true for the loco's I was running that had been programmed w/ some momentum delay. When I asked about the delay, the person I purchased it from even had me do a reverse w/ the UT-4. Hardly any delay at all. I think I am gonna like this radio business.
The delay can be troublesome to new users. The throttle doesn't send a speed command until the knob stops moving and then sends only the speed command that the knob stopped on. After a little practice, pausing briefly as the throttle is advanced will make the delay almost imperceptible. Single presses of the +/- buttons works as well. Martin Myers
