:eek:hboy:I am thinking of trying dcc [first time] I have 2 ovals on 2x4 module inner one has 2 sidings and a loco holding track. I have 3 dcc loco's and looking at nce starter system . my question is , I read on trainboard some where some one wired up mrc 1025 sychro sound box which I have on my dc layout. If I get nce how do I do it I don't intend to put sound in loco and should I get nce or e-z comand

I can't help you much because it looks like you might be in n scale, and you are not dealing with sound decoders. Instead you are considering a sound system under the bench..?

I can offer you my opinion about your two choices of DCC system, and it would not be to endorse the EZ-Command. It is far too limited a system, if my now dated experience of seven years ago is anything to go by, because you can't really modify the values in all but a few of the CV's that make the decoder make the engine come alive. You would be further ahead with any other system out there, just not with the EZ-Command. A Ferarri with a three cylinder motor scooter engine in it.
