I'm wanting to learn more about DCC. Does anyone know of any videos that have been made on the subject. I want to know and understand the concepts and how to implement the technology on to ones' layout. It seems to me that a video that would show what DCC is all about would be a great resource for us model railroaders.

There is a flaw in your thinking... lol... and that is you are assuming the video is good... lol. Digitrax puts out video's for the user to learn dcc, but I doublt most people make it through the video the first time... they can be really boring.

Instead I recommend a book which will do what you ask and it is called: The Digitrax Big Book of DCC by hmmmmmm...doesn't show an author...lol. If your model store doesn't have a copy, I'm sure they can order one in for you.

Although it says "Digitrax" it is relatively generic, and design to introduce the newbie into dcc and then take them further in as well. For most going into dcc, I highly recommend this book.

By the way, for anyone wishing to make some money in model railroading, I am convince a video entitled "DCC for Dummies" would do really well. Just make sure it is entertaining as well as factual. The world will thank you!

There is a video on DCC, by Green Frog Productions. I have it myself and it was informative. I believe it is called Wiring for DCC. (The reason I am not sure of the title is because a friend of mine borrowed it.) But check it out, it will give you a good hands on idea of what you are getting into. It mainly deals with wiring and basic decoder installation.

Digitrax's Big Book on DCC is pretty good too. The main problem with DCC is that some people get information overload, and then are afraid to take the plunge.

There is also a DCC web-ring. My site belongs to this web-ring and has a navigation bar.

As for systems, I am prejudiced towards the NCE system since I own one. :D

    Good Luck!
