I have two Atlas sd50/60 locos that are equipped with digitrax decoders. Through adjusting CV's, I have made them run real well together.
I now have two IM T-M's that are NCE equipped. I think the IM's are going to be faster than the Atlas through an acceptable speed range.

My question - By using the CV's and changing start, mid, and end voltages can we make slow motors run with faster motors ? Is it necessary to slow down the faster motor and speed up the slower motor OR can all changes be made on one motor ?

Clear as mud huh ? But I understand

    Carl:

I would try to slow down the faster loco's.

Speed matching the loco's with different brand decoders is "trial and error" , but it can be done with some patience.

Stay cool and run steam.... [IMG]
