Excellent, but would be more so if the tether was eliminated. As is, it would be great for static layouts but for those that are set up and taken down quite frequently, ala Ntrak, the plug ins would add additional compexity. Still, it should not be too difficult to design something that could work off a remote device either via radio or infra red. I believe that is the concept behind the Aristo Craft throttles.
