I am new to model railroading and need some help. i have a DC powerrd lay out and would like to put signals in. to power my signals i just connect them to my cab any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks
DC powered signals Welcome to a great hobby. To power signals I'd suggest you get a separate cab dedicated just to lighting and switch machines, etc. Then you have to wire the signals to the switch machines, if you just want to show direction of the switch. If you are looking for block detection signaling I'd suggest getting a book from Kalmbach or such. Good Luck, Mainetrains
