Well I got one more building done. This is the freight station in Fredonia NY. Fredonia was the only town on the DAV&P that had its freight station separate from the passenger station, all the other stations where in one building. This may have been because the passenger station that can be see in the distance was actually the second passenger station in Fredonia. The freight station I modeled is only ½ as long as the real one. But I managed to capture many of its details like: the south end freight doors are hinged and open and close. The freight door on the siding ( east side ) Slides open. On the passing siding ( west ) side there is a loading dock. Then on the ( North end ) you can see a set of steps and a short porch that led to the office. A side note, the passenger station was demolished 2 years or so ago, ( sniff – sob – wine ) and the freight station witch was remarkable maintained over the years is still standing and in great shape.
