The benchwork is done and the screen has been fully painted on both sides. I plan to start laying the trackbed and putting in the electrical tomorrow. I'll grab some photos tomorrow of my progress. I learned a lot about benchwork construction over the last few weeks, the process has been fun. Maybe I'll have trains running before the end of February (knock on wood). Have a great day! Greg
I didn't get progress photos up like I had hoped. Here is where things stand. This is the town-side view, the two tunnels will enter/exit a mountain, the higher will cut across the town via a series of bridges: Here's the mine side view, the highest part will have a coaling tower with 3 stub-end tracks reached by crossing a wooden trestle bridge (which will fill that large gap): I may be stalled for a bit, but we'll see. Don't have any photos, or much in the way of progress. What I do have is a new learning when laying trackbed (for those who haven't already done this and might). DON'T USE GORILLA GLUE! It expands and gets very hard and will come out of the middle seam in the roadbed. Looks like I will have to carve away high points on the center. Thankfully I only put down about 3.5 feet if it. I've got some latex adhesive caulk, I think this will be a better solution. Have a great day! Greg
Any and all progress has been halted due to 'marital challenges'. I think I will just close this out and when/if I'm able to restart the layout I'll start a new post on it. Have a great spring everyone! Greg

Aw, bummer. I think I'll stay single and just find a nice Kato locomotive to settle down with... Good luck with everything though.
