Last Saturday I saw a string of old two-bay hoppers on a UP mixed freight. They were recently repainted and were lettered CYXX. That was a new reporting mark to me and I have looked for it and none of the internet sources have this mark. Anyone know who this is?
CYXX? It's one I've never seen. About all that can be said is that using the past as a guide, that final "X" indicates private owner. Now you have me wondering...... Boxcab E50
The CYXX could be another division of Central Soya. Their normal reporting marks are CYSX. The one you listed is pretty darn close. Bill
