nice job. I am doing the BN unit before it got to this stage. Just a quick question why do RRs do this to engines? Only part of the engine is brown, why is that? Was there repaires done to the engine? Brian
Steve you're not playing fair. Topping each loco you do with even better and more creative work isn't fair to the rest of us poor saps. This one's definately one of the most creative yet. I've got a serious question: Do you actually have a "day" job or do you just do this 24/7? You seem to have something new at least once a week. I'm lucky to complete something in a month. How do you do it?
Not only due a new paint job, but also a new number - apparently the "Triclops" are soon to be renumbered from 9200 - 9249 to 8100 - 8149
that is a lot for an Atlas engine... thank you Chris, but, well, you know, paypal did take $19 and eBay $16.50 away from this so it is not really that much left... no, I have already something else on the burner just for eBay, another unique piece... (and I did already paint the #9206 in the swoosh scheme also for eBay - but you're right, I will paint another camouflaged BNSF one in a couple of months)
Steve, congrats, your painting jobs are awesone! However, I wanted to ask a question about the tracks with scenery you used for display purposes while taking photos at this model. Can you tell me more about it? Tracks and ballast look great as well as those low vegetation tufts.
AWESOME RESULT!! Steve, That is one hell of a return on your investment, congratulations! Looking forward to seeing your next project.
...yeah, I know (but I have had to paint this one as well) (yup, on eBay as well - no I do not expect the same money !)
well if my subtracting is correct you still made over 400+ :tb-biggrin: congrates to that! Will you be doing a BNSF Es44DC/AC, whatever they have, or an SD70ACE in BNSF "swoosh"?
Beautiful job Steve, I really like the Atlas SD60M's, they run sweet and pull well. I am amazed at the auction result for the patch job, should keep ya in beer money till the next one sells.
I would say the track is code 55 made either by Atlas or Micro Engineering. Either one is very good track. The weathering and the ballast are excellent, too!
grazie mille, molto contento... ...dirmi, stai lavorando nella distilleria di Amaretto ? sorry Denny for my late answer. yes it is MicroEngineering Code 40 track. and the tufts are Silflor. the diorama is made by Tom Mann, it is not my own work. if you have more questions about the diorama you can contact Tom Mann by PM, he is a member of this forum as well...
Zoikes!! After looking at the closing bid I’m gonna have to go out and buy some more powerful “up close spectacles” and a new airbrush. Wait a minute, you can't buy talent can you. Shoot, I thought I had a new retirement plan going there. LOL Seriously that is one gorgeous locomotive. Very creative idea. Brian
heh ... Sansa Fe! Mark St.Aubin took these photos of this Dash9 MNWOSLA (manifest;New Orleans,LA-Slaton,TX)
