DRATZ! Why couldn't that have been an HO scale model of the #801!!!!!! I'd concidered it! Thinking of N scale, and Chessie and of all people yourself Harold... You wouldn't have any N scale Chessie decals by any chance??? I need them for an HO application where no HO scale Chessie decal will fit and aren't made for the car... I'm reproducing the "Chessie Steam Special" and well the cars have the diesel style lettering but do not go up into the windows with the big Chessie "Cat" C so.. it all has to stay under the windows and above the side sills of the cars... Only N scale diesel decals will work here so. I'm on the hunt for a few packs being I have 8 cars to decal at the moment... And being so, I'm not sure how many sets come in one pack to do a number of cars...
Harold, Thanks for stoping and all to answer my question... It was worth the shot of "getting lucky" Being I only model HO at the moment I have a hard time finding N scale decals when I need then and all being I have used this technique in the past...To model a specific HO model with relatively small lettering where the HO scale versions won't work and fall back on N scale decals to finish the project and it works...And looks good as well its the matter of the size of the lettering actually thats needed and the HO scal versions are just to big for this application.

Carl, You mis read the post... I was the one looking for the Chessie decals in N scale! And being Harold models Chessie in N scale I thought I'd ask to see if he had any... I model HO but for what I'm modeling requires a small Chessie decal that isn't offered in HO scale decels I fall back on N scale decals. I'm modeling the Chessie Steam Special in HO scale and the words "Chessie System" on the cars is just like the font on the diesels only smaller...And on all the HO decals the BIG Chessie "C" goes up into the windows and is cut off and all and on the real ones the lettering was made smaller to fit under the windows and allwith no part of the lettering cut off because of the windows or the bottom of the car's body side. So I went to looking and N scale is my best bet to letter these cars...
