Here are some pics: I will get some more scanned, eventually This is a B36-7, on the left, and in the middle is a CW40-8, and then a GP40. This is a C30-7. This is a Leased SD40-2. This one is a Leased SD40-2, also. This is a B30-7 in the visibility stealth scheme. Hope you like 'em!! [ 16 April 2001: Message edited by: nbrr2000 ]

Thanks for posting the pictures.... you don't have to ask if we like 'em You captured quite a variety of locos there! Harold
Hunter, Where was your bottom picture, GP38-2 #2785, taken? Is that an electrified third rail at the far side of the near group of tracks just this side of the fence? It looks like a 600VDC feed rail that was used by the New York Central out of Grand Central Terminal north to Harmon and North White Plains (extended to Brewster North by Metro-North). Great shots, please keep them coming Thanks, Hank

I dont know much about the yard's ancestory, so it could be anything, but I do know it is an ex-CR yard. Glad you guyslike the pics, more a-comin'!!
Here's some more!!!!!! This is a B40-8 This is the front of the unit. This is the side of the unit Thats all for now!! [ 09 June 2001: Message edited by: nbrr2000 ]
Hunter, Thanks for all of the great pictures! Wow! I have not seen variety like that in quite some time !!!! Harold
Hunter, thanks for the response. Since you took the photo in Altoona, I have no clue what that structure is next to the fence. Altoona was in non-electric territory on the Pennsy. Harrisburg, many miles east of Altoona, was (and still is) the west end of electric territory. Furthermore, Pennsy used an overhead electric pickup system, using 25,000 Volts at 25 Cycles. You are posting great photos, please keep them coming. By the way, in your latest posting, I believe CSX 7865 is a CW40-8, CSX 5939 is a B40-8. Thanks again, Hank [ 17 April 2001: Message edited by: Hank Coolidge ]

CSX got Selkirk and Albany, and most of the old NYC trackage, hence the PRR/NYC sublettering.
Len, I'd say you figured out the photo posting very well! Great shots, thanks for sharing them... I know Rocky Mount fairly well..... say, that wasn't you standing in the back of that pick up truck trackside a couple of weeks ago, was it? Harold
Thanks Harold. No it wasnt me. Havnt been up there since Feb. Plan another visit this summer though. I really enjoy train watching there.
