Isn't that the CSX "ghost" scheme? Looks like it except for the yellow nose. All grey with blue CSX lettering.

I thought this was known as the "Stealth" scheme or is that different? Here she is at NS's John Sevier Yard in Dec. 2006. Isn't cool how they get around?:tb-cool:

The Gray and Blue is the as delivered paint scheme as are the slanted numbers. The yellow was added at a later date to address safety concerns. When these units were delivered in the late 80's, the Gray and Blue "Stealth" scheme as it was known was the standard CSX paint scheme.

    Nice Photo too! :) :)

There are still quite a few in the stealth scheme but with a yellow nose. I can't tell from the photo but if it has a helperlink on the rear it used to stay at Lebanon Jct. before CSX did away with the helper there.

Yes. Stealth scheme, not ghost. Stealth, ghost, fog, mist, obscured...impending senility.

It's certainly interesting! Who knows where this unit could be next week? Passing through Oregon?

I had this unit in my consist yesterday!!! It came out of Russell, Ky to Cincinnati, to Louisville, then to Nashville. NSfan14 (Alex) shot some pictures of it going into Louisville. Hopefully he sees this thread and posts them.
