We are using CSX GP40-2 6015 on the HPT&D this week. I was wondering what the Heritage of this Unit was? Michael Ridenhour
My vote would be for CS 4014... ex-B&O unit. The only reason I say this is that CSX renumbered the 4000 series starting with 6001. I may be wrong (and it won't be the first or last time ) Harold

My data shows that CSX GP40-2 #6015 was originally Chessie System (B&O) GP40-2 #4115. You guys are correct that the renumbering started with 6001, but Chessie 4105 was not on the roster at the time the units were renumbered. Chris Toth
I have seen pics of,and heard of, that CS 4105, was wrecked in PA, on sandpatch grade (that locale) in the early 80's, not sure if it was retired, or what, correct me If I'm wrong
