Looking for any photos of this unit, I have four I made in the late 90's when it was still in Family Lines paint, really ragged looking, anyhow I need to find pics for a modeling project, mainly the top showing the radiator grilles. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Diesel,
I'll post some links to a few for you if I can find top loaded pictures of it. That would have to be taken from a bridge or something higher the the loco itself....... :D let me dig.. See what I come up with..... :D

    I have a question Diesel,
You model HO scale??? If so, I am in the midst of doing a SD-45, and a GP-38 in HO scale. Both in CSX paint. I got the gray and blue on the top of the loco's painted. being the scheme i'm doing on them both in CSX has the dark blue side sill stripe I was wondering if you may be interested in a set of Seaboard System decals for a trade for either a set of Microscale CSX decals, or the blue stripes in scale 6 inch scale so I can finish up the process of decal striping and then begin to letter. If your interested in a set of Microscale Seaboard System decals I will trade them for a set of Microscale 87-497 CSX decals or the stripes I need. This is terrible, all the hobby shops in my area quit carrying Microscale and went to carrying Champian decals, which I also use but Champian doesn't print out CSX decals of any kind so I have to resort to Microscale. I bought this set of Seaboard decals for a specific application I had in my shop to paint and the set included enough decals to decal 4 loco's and I only needed one set, if someone would be willing to trade for the ones I have for the ones I need to finish up my CSX decaling just so they don't go to waste. I have in the set of Seaboard System decals enough decals to paint and decal 3 loco's. You can get ahold of me by my e-mail address at:

    yellowstone10@hotmail.com

I'll get back to you ASAP... THANKS.

    Diesel, and others,
Heres one I been want to model in HO scale...... I just have to find a Bachmann BQ23-7 to do it so.. Just time to find one and it'll be modeled....

Ok that didn't work........I tried... I'll have to put it in my photopoint acount to get it to post...... :D

I just wish CSX kept just one like this in the Bright Future paint with a regular cab as a regular road loco... But i'm not so lucky.......

John, I don't have a uncut set of the decals, I do have the stripes, I believe there are 9 stripes on the piece I have left, if you want them send me an address and I'll send them to you, I can also check for a full sheet at the shop on Tuesday.

To all; I saw a Chessie unit on Monday in Resaca Ga. sitting on the siding, but I didn't get to see what unit it was,any guesses? I thought all the units had been painted by now, I guess not. The last Chessie I saw was in 96 in Winder, Ga.
As soon as I get the main computer back up [modem blew] I'll post some of my pics.[working on a very slow lap top]

GP40-2, perhaps? I'd heard reports of a few of those still floating around in Chessie paint. I gotta admit, there's something cool about CSX and her predecessor lines. Even though I live in SoCal and model SP/SSW in HO, I've found the need for CSX family units in my fleet, since their units come out here so frequently. Right now I'm in the process of modeling CSX SD40-2s 8128 and 8178, from pics I got from the CSX Photo Archives site. Fun diversion from the usual SP stuff! :D

    Diesel,
No problem on the testing your signature...... I'm going to post a picture of the loco i'm painting that your sending the stripes for. Look at the picture and the very bottom blue stripe is what I need the decal striping for. I painted the loco's gray, and the blue on the top of the loco and cab...... Heres the loco.... [IMG] [IMG]

I will see if I can post pictures of the HO scale model once its complete.......

And heres that picture of the BQ23-7 I was trying to post.........I have an old unused B23-7 powered frame that will fit right onto a BQ23-7 body.. If I can find the body of one...... Anyway this is what I'd paint the body like..... [IMG]

Being these were odd in ways.. And just different is my odd reasons to model them. Just something out of the ordinary I guess. To try to get away from the "regulars" :D
