I think I may have a problem when wiring my track. I have a part of the track that crosses over from one side of the total loop to the other. Highlighted in the orange circle. Wiring the circle red to the inside track black to the outside. The crossover track would effectively switch this polarity. Or do I not wire this track and let the switches deal with it?
    DCC BTW

Think about that a minute. So, you have the switch thrown to direct the train onto the reversing section. Do you open the switch at the far end before you close the one at this end? If so, you have a short.

So, close this switch before you open that one? First, make sure you never run a train longer than that diagonal. Secondly, make sure you reverse direction the moment you throw those switches.

DCC has some handy electronics for getting trains through a reversing loop. I think you should invest in one. 'Reversing loop' is the search keyword you want.

Think outside the box! It isn’t the red diagonal that needs to reversed, it is the green loop at the left.

Thanks for the inputs. I searched my E draw and found an auto reverser but it turned out to be a DC only. I use NCE but they don't make one but suggest a Digitrax PSR-AR. Auto reversing the green loop makes good sense.

Highly recommend the PSX-AR over the Digitrax.
