In the current Model railroader magazine, are drawings, and details of CP stack cars. Do these cars only run in canada, or do they stray into the US - and if so, how far? Are they pooled, or just on particular runs?

    TIA

Have seen CP wells in So Cal but don't know if they were this particular prototype. You might try tracKing a # on the UP trace site to see what shows up there locationwise.

you can track one on CP's site and it will (or should I think) show up even if it's not on CP rails.

There is heaps of CP container traffic in Chicago - I would be surprised if these never make it into the USA. But finding them on BNSF or UP rails is not as likely - I'm sure it happens, but would be rare.

Now I'm looking forward to the new MR [IMG]

BTW, are the ones in MR the same NSCs as being made by Walthers? If not, what changes are needed?

I don't have the magazine to hand, but the ones in it are NSC 48ft cofc, three-unit drawbarred. I think the Walthers HO ones are 53ft wells?

Yes the Walthers ones are 53 foot and all purpose - MR ran them around Sept last year.
