i posted this question on the atlas forum and was hoping for a bit more clarification. I have an atlas sd60 in kcs livery i want to put MT 1015s on. I have seen posts concerning using the clips that were in the box with the loco and ones posing using a screw. do the clips work? and if so, does anything need to be trimmed (i.e. prongs)? thanks a bunch!
Past experience tells me that the clips should work fine, just be real careful removing and replacing them, as they (to my experience) have a habit of breaking or distorting.
eagle2, took me a while to get couplers assembled (mixed up accumate coupler top plate with the MT one), took me a while to look at the instructions and realize that it has a small recess for the top coupler part. had to square a corner up on the shell to get the front coupler to seat right. after spending all last night with the first one, i think i can get the next one done in 20 minutes . thanks for the input!!!
