Prototype Game is "Look Mom, I can do my 1-2-3's" and currently looking for 1254 there

Lot of other fun Prototype games that I tagged as "pun topics" to also enjoy playing...

Now we need Model #55 to keep this version going...

    Patiently Waiting

Have we stalled at 55? I have my stuff ready to go if we can nudge this thread into the sixties.

    It's me again

I was hoping someone would come along with a 55...but I guess it's my succorable and gregarious nature that compelled me to post this picture I found.

Great, Candy! I specifically scoured the 500 or so cars at my H0 club and no #55 was available. I do have #56, though. N scale this time:

Flash, what's that thing, that looks like a patio table, sitting on top of that caboose

It's a "wagon wheel" antenna. Some had spokes and some did not. Gold medal Models makes them in N scale with spokes. I scratchbuilt this one with paper. Pretty easy to do. Tripod or four leg base with a flat piece of styrene or paper on top. Here's an embedded prototype from Richard Percy's Espee Modeler's Website. Photo by Mike Mucklin.

What is Grand Scale? Like 7.5 inch gauge? The live steamers that you ride on? IMHO, that qualifies as a model as it certainly is not 1:1 scale. I have seen some of those being built and it is a real engineering task. Much more complicated than an electric, small scale train. Better ask Mark Watson. Good idea, though.

I think the best way to classify a model is anything that is not/was not in revenue service. Revenue Service being defined as equipment that operates for profit.

So SP 4449, though not currently in revenue service, it was at one time. Trains at zoos and tourist lines, same deal, they operate for profit.

Trains at a location like Train Mountain may charge a cover, but that's mostly for operating costs and is generally non-profit, so they are fair game. :)

Yes, Flash, it's the stuff you ride on, but i don't know, Mark, if this one was ever used for profit.

    The 50's are crawling by.

I've got one for the 60's and then out for awhile.

    Anyone with 58?
