The following is what I've researched of Conrail's disposal of the former NYNH&H lines to CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern Corp. at its split-up on or about 1999 and wish to verify it for accuracy: New York City-Hew Haven CT-Springfield MA: CSX Hartford to Manchester and East Windsor CT: CSX Attleboro-Boston MA: CSX Attleboro-Middleboro-Braintree MA: CSX Taunton-New Bedford MA: CSX; and Tiverton RI: CSX (Providence & Worcestor) Readville-Franklin-Millford MA: CSX Manfield-Fitchburg MA: CSX The Official Railway Guide, 2004, specifies differently on stations of the following routes: South Norwalk (CSX) to New Millford CT (Housatonic RR Co.) Devon CT (Providence & Worcestor) to Poughkeepsie (CSX) and Beacon NY (CSX) Highland (CSX)-Maybrook NY (NS) Providence RI (Providence & Worcestor)-Boston MA (CSX) Other routes of the former NYNH&H were disposed to Amtrak, Bay Colony, Danbury Terminal, Guilford Transportation Industries, Housatonic RR, MBTA, Metro North, Pioneer Valley, and Providence & Worcestor.
