I am ready to begin building three 100' wide 800,000 bushel commercial grain bins for my ethanol plant and have been looking around for an Excel spreadsheet that might would help calculate the cone roofs. I am using 6" PVC couplers and need to layout the cone roof for them. I am looking for a spreadsheet as I have three modern grain elevators to build with anywhere from 20-30 silos in total to be built of various sizes. I also think there may have been an article in Model Railroader some time ago regarding cone roofs that I would like to know if any knows which issue it may be in? I have checked the MR indexes that are on their web site and I haven't located anything yet. I have found some equations on the internet that I can use if I can't find an excel spreadsheet to automate it. Thanks for reading, Jerry
Hi Jerry - If you have the equations, can you not use the equations to make the Excel spreadsheet you want? Perhaps I have missed something. - Jeff
