    Hi friends
Just got off the phone with Con-Cor and I found out that the GS-4's are being delivered tonight and tomorrow at Con-Cor. If you have one on order look for it in about 2 weeks.

    Here's an update.

Con-Cor will start shipping these by mid week and stores should start seeing them in about two weeks. Rio Grande Hobbies hopes to have them instock by the 19th or 20th.

You still may be able to get one from BLW, they have not started taking orders yet and Pete has been promised a shippment.

The GS-4's are not being tested due to any problems in the drive, this rumor is completely faults. Con-Cor tests each and every model that leaves their hands no matter if its the GS-4s or PA's, they are all tested.

Why does it seem that every new item being released by Concor (or Kato, or Atlas, or whoever) is sold out before the products reach the show room? I heard that a lot of newer releases are being produced in limited runs, so they're sold out on pre-production orders. Are the manufacturers doing this on purpose? If so, why? [IMG]

Of course manufacturers are doing this on purpose. They're guaranteed more sales by doing it if people think "Golly, I better order one (or six) now rather than take my chances getting one at the store..." They could produce six times as much and have 'em sitting around in a warehouse forever or produce too few and be guaranteed a sell-out ASAP.
