Can anybody tell me when the permanent switcher based at Colorado Springs was withdrawn?
During DRGW and SP days, did all three railroads using Colorado Springs (BN/DRGW/ATSF)take it in turns to supply the daily switch locomotive or was it just DRGW and Santa Fe?

Finally was a locomotive sent to Colorado Springs every day to work, and returned to Denver or Pueblo at the end of the day?.

    Thanks in advance

It has been awhile since i've been to Colorado Springs, but years ago i remember seeing GP30s. I don't know if they were the assigned switchers or not though.

The Colorado Springs switcher is still working. The DRGW3129 is assigned to Colo. Sprgs. Last I recall crew worked mon-fri starting at 0800am.

There was also a Santa Fe switcher stationed there also but don't know if it's still there or not.
