I am trying to find some information about the color schemes of the B&O, but can't find it that easily on the internet. Has someone a link for me to a good source? I want to know what era this Doodlebug can be placed in.
There are not really any good online sources that I have found other than joining the B&O Yahoo group. Most of the good info is in print and some of those authors post on the group. Baltimore_and_Ohio : Baltimore and Ohio Railroad List There was a discussion about doodlebugs a while back. I will try to dig it up and see what I can find. From what I recall, the blue and gray scheme was different on doodlebugs than the passenger scheme used. I'm pretty sure they ran into the 60's on lines that didn't have enough traffic for a complete train.
