Is there a standardized color code for DCC wiring? If so, what is it or is it online somewhere? I didn't see one on the NMRA site, saw one on the dccwiki, and a different one some place else.
I'd suggest adopting a standard for your layout based on what color wire you can get. As long as you're consistent in your universe, all is well. Write it up on a small card and glue it up underneath for reference when looking at your wiring, or include the information in your layout book.
I don't think there is an official standard, except for the wire colors on decoders... which run something like black & red to rails, orange & grey to motor, blue is common, and white/others are function outputs. I *think* this one is an NMRA standard but that doesn't mean folks follow it (Bachmann, for example, uses all black wires ) As for track bus wiring, it's up to you, but Rocket is right... make one up or choose one, and stick to it. It will make debugging much easier. I am using Black/Red for track bus, Green for frogs, and other TBD colors for common ground and accessory power.

Thanks, that's good info and will help me make my 25+ year old locos DCC. And thanks to the rest of you who have replied. I love making up my own - no matter what it is.
