Does anybody have drawings or pictures of the Coal Dock at Cle Elum, Washington? I know the color picture in Dale Sanders "The Northern Pacific", page 140 but have been unable to locate any additional "full view" pictures. It was a "Traveling Crane" type (maybe the only one on the NP?) and it begs to be modelled..... Many Thanks Dirk
I must confess my sins. I saw that structure countless times. Never once took a picture. I'll bet the Kittitas County assessor has a few photos. And also the NP archives at Jackson Street. Boxcab E50
Hello Boxcab, thanks for the info. I tried the webpage of the county assessor but they do not offer photos on the web. Do you have experience if they are responsive to a photo request (maybe for a school or study project?) Ihave numerous links to NP siztes, but never found a direct link to the Jackson Street Archives. Are thy on the web? If anythimng else fails I will need to beg for a drawing or sketch from a sinner who did not take photos Cheers Dirk
Dirk- I have no personal experience in contacting the county. Know of a person, or two, who has mentioned doing so, and seemed satisfied with those results. I suppose all you can do is try. There is also a Kittitas County historical society. Located in Ellensburg. Perhaps also check with the City of Cle Elum. I wonder if there's anyone in a town historical type group there? For the NP archives, I am not aware of a web site. Still half asleep this morning. Don't remember what, if anything, is on the NPRHA web site. Surely a resource is out there. Boxcab E50
