CNW SD18 proviso yard, 1992

I was told it was an SD18. I probably thought it was an SD9 at the time I took the picture.

 

I would have thought the same thing. Got any more pics Flash? I never made it to Proviso.

 

I have some Proviso, but I assume you mean CNW? Those GTW pictures were Proviso. At the time, of course, there was CNW and UP everywhere, so why take pictures of them??? Of course...

I will look. They are all around 1992.

Heck, here are the GTW again. The building is the Proviso engine house. We could walk right up close. Old turntable, but it was old, so I didn't take a picture...of course.

I am thinking the top unit is actually an SD24. More specifically, an ex-Southern Railway unit. From what I remember, Southern units went to PNC, which in turn resold them to CNW & ICG for their rebuild programs...
