Hi When I was growing up my dad was commuting to the city on the CNW (5:10 am out of Barrington) he did that for 30 plus years and I went in with him for a year and a half. So later on in my life I came upon some N scale passenger cars that a guy at work was selling along with a whole bunch more, and I had to have those cars. Well that started me into model trains N scale. Of course I needed an engine and got a EMD F3A CNW No. 4066C from Frank's hobby shop in Crystal lake IL. It just caught my eye. This was in the mid 60's I put the hobby up after about 8 years and recently got them all out and running again. I now have a CNW GP7 & GP50 as well. I have pic's of both of those No 1518 and No 5050 but I havn't found any as yet for No 4066C. Checked the roster and it's there built in 1949 I believe but no picture. Anybody have any pics stories imfo on this engine?
