As a novice CN Modeller I was looking through a CN photo site and came upon an engine that was described as an SD60W. The engine was numbered 5761. Does this engine exist as an SD60, or is it an SD70? I have a spare Atlas SD60M I would love to paint as a CN engine. P.S. Hi Mick , I edited the topic opener of this post , from CN SD60M , to CN "SD75I" . Dave [ 09 April 2001: Message edited by: Davecn5623 ]
Dave Thanks for the information, I wonder why it is listed as an SD60, strange, I thought from the picture I was looking at, the door was on the wrong side anyway. Thanks Mick

CN 5627 - CN 5800 are SD75I's with 4300 available Horsepower per unit . The difference is that additional 300 HP . Horsepower [ 24 March 2001: Message edited by: Davecn5623 ]
SD70/75's are longer than the SD60M As well, at the back firemans side, there is also another rad section, a small square one below the main one. As well there is a different blower duct, and the walkway is raised. The SD60M has a freeflow duct, at the rear. Jon

Can you get a photo of any of your models and post them here in the CN Forum ? That would be neat

None the less you learned something new today I even did from Jon
Mick today I worked Train #281 and had the CN 5771 in the lead , but guess what . I got to my destination and right next to me sat the CN 5761 , I swear on my life , I am kicking myself for not taking my camera to work

I will post some photo's for you all soon [ 26 March 2001: Message edited by: MRL Mick ]
Good news is the layout is just about finished. I managed to get hold of another two CN DASH 9S from Pacific scale Rail in Vancouver. You can view the layout images in the Nscale Forum. I will post some Loco pics very soon.
My question is, how much longer is the SD70/75I's than the SD50/60? I know the trucks are different also, does this effect the fuel tank?

I had a manual on CN's SD70/75I's but I gave it away . I'll look into your question and when I get back to work I will look into this .
