Here's a colorful lashup I caught last summer, many miles away from home:

Good catch Harold. I fell in love with that CN paint scheme during my first trip across the pond in 1985, especially on the (then unusual) wide nose units [IMG]

Good shot Harold. I used to see the occasional CN locomotive in Kansas as well.

Harold, with CN, UP and HCLX units, who was the operator of the train? CSX?

    Alan,
Yep, it was a CSX train.... [IMG] That's what makes railfanning CSX so interesting: you never know what you'll see [IMG]

Au contraire! I usually check it frequently each day, unless I am on the road.... (you're thinking of my e-mail linked to my website).

I'll drop you a line later tonight... I have some good club news for you. [IMG]

Those CN diesels can roam far from the Great White North- on my trip to Tower 55 in Ft. Worth last year, I saw several in the power consists of UP freights.

    Good shot, by the way!

My all time favourate locomotive in my all time favourate paint scheme. And the bell is where God intended. TB they had already moved the horns.

Great shot! Thanks for the memories.
