They look great, a memory of past times [IMG]

Personally I would be more excited to see the 5410 standing behind them :D I love those cowl units!

    Rick,
Good pictures [IMG] I especially like the recessed ditch lights... nice touch. I suppose they have been rebuilt/updated??? Any details?

What looks even cooler is when twice a year, those E Units pass the CPR restored FP7A unit that pulls the BCR Vintage Train Excursion. It happens about 2-4 times a year. Happened last Friday, too.

    Happy Railroading!

Hi, I have a bit of Detail on these Es if you would like: These Units are Ex IC Exx BN Exxx CBQ units. The ressesed Ditchlites were added for Metra service on the BN Chicago-Aurora Mainline. The IC Bought 3 of them in 1995-96 and when CN bought them out, they bought 2 of them outright for thier executive fleet.
BN 9903-9904 became IC 100-101 and 9901 became IC 102. if you got to http://groups.msn.com/railroadinterests go to the document section and look for BN E unit history and you will find where the those three were. Hope it helps. If you need any more I'll be around.

Thank you BN9900! That solves my dilema as to where the heck 2 CN E-8's came from as I know they never had any back in the old days. It's actually very nice to see they have them now & gives me an excuse to get the Aristocraft G Scale model when they come out.

    Thanks again.

Funny to see a post by my son (BC Railking), who hasn't posted here in a long time, but then I noticed the date. At least one E8 has been repainted to the more modern red, white and black scheme. There was a pic of it in the most recent Branch Line (Canadian pub), but I haven't read the article yet. They are still being used on the executive trains.
