For those of you unlucky enough to have not been able to see the terminal in person, here is a history provided by the Cincinati Enquirer in today's edition. There are some great photos, as well as a 30 minute video by WCET, the local public station. The video: http://www.cetconnect.org/msie_video.asp?id=114&topic=History+Science The article: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080323/CINCI01/303230012 If you are traveling through Cincinnati, I would encourage you to visit the terminal, if for no other reason than to see the mosaic murals in the rotunda. There are several museums now housed in the terminal. Dan
I second that. The CUT is really something else. Beautiful art-deco architecture that treats function and form as equals. A local railroad club operates Tower A which overlooks Queens Gate yard, and you can go up and have a look.
Very nice, xo Cincy has one of the most beautiful Train Staion ever, and at the Electric Company(Cinergy) one of the best Model Railroad displays. Sweet have to run through there someday.
