    My wife and I spent some time in the National Scouting Museum at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimerron, NM today. While there, I noticed a display about the logging railroad that was built to harvest trees to manufacture railroad ties. The railroad lasted until the trees ran out.

    New Mexico is a great Chief stopover.

    I hate to think what Albuquerque is using as a depot now, since their grand old station burned.

    Funny thing about logging railroads - trees go away and so does the railroad.
