Well, I can't wait until the IRM gets the Electroliner finished.

I did ride on the older North Shore for ~ 9 miles. It sure brought back memories from my chilhood.

Does anyone know where there is any other CNS&M rolling stock?

Here are a couple of links.

Aren't there a couple of pieces of ex-CNS&M equipment located at trolley type museums? But far from their old home grounds?

Yes, there are. There are some at the East Troy Electric Railroad Museum in Wisconsin, there are some in Illinois, at the IRM, where I rode for 9 miles, a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure there must be others, but I haven't tracked it all down yet. One of these days I will track down some more. These aren't that far from their home grounds.

i know that the Electroliners were both run in PA, as Liberty liners for a while until one was purchased by the IRM, I'm not sure of the whereabouts of the other one. It may be at the Rockhill Trolley Museum in PA.

Am I crazy, didn't the IRM refurbish the Electroliner when they first got it back in the 80's???

I'm not sure when they started the project, but it is a way from being finished. The outside is finished and they are still working on the inside and the motors. It is a lon 7 EXPENSIVE project. You might want to check out their website.

    Enjoy.

Oh it's a total refurbishment! I know I saw it in it's Valley Forge colors when they first got it. I'm pretty sure they repainted it to the Electroliner shortly thereafter. It was looking quite sad a couple of years ago, I wonder if the repainted it again???
