Does anyone out there have a source for a merger date- When did the Evansville & Terre Haute go into the C&EI?

The construction of the Evanvsille and Illinois Railroad was started in the summer of 1849 and was designed to run from Evansville, Vanderburgh County, through Princeton, Gibson County, IN, then to Mt. Carmel, IL, and eventually to Olney, IL. From the results of a March 1849 election $100,000 of the railroad's costs were to be paid by the county. The construction plans were changed and the railroad ended in Vincennes, Knox County, where it was connected with another line that ran to Terre Haute, Vigo County, IN. The line was completed in December, 1853, although the advertised daily service ran at irregular intervals. The name was later changed to the Evansville & Crawfordsville Railroad, and it became the Evansville & Terre Haute Railroad in 1877. In 1911 the company became part of the C. & E.I. system.

    THE EVANSVILLE & TERRA HAUTE (UNDER C&EI 1905-1911): 4/1877-7/1911 - INTO THE C&EI 1911

FYI: ANOTHER ROAD, THE "EVANSVILLE, TERRA HAUTE AND CHICAGO" MERGED INTO THE C&EI IN 1880 AND LOST IT'S IDENTITY WHEREAS THE E&TH RETAINED IT'S IDENTITY UNDER THE C&EI (05-11) UNTIL 1911 WHEN IT FINALLY MERGED INTO THE C&EI AND BECAME A FALLEN FLAG.

FYI: THERE WERE 14 RAILROADS THAT BEGAN WITH THE NAME "EVANSVILLE".

FYI: THE E&TH WAS THE EVANSVILLE AND CRAWFORDSVILLE (3/1853-4/77)

THE EVANSVILLE AND CRAWFORDSVILLE WAS THE EVANSVILLE AND ILLINOIS
    (3/1851-4/1877)

FYI: ANOTHER ROAD, THE EVANSVILLE, INDIANAPOLIS & TERRA HAUTE (CCC&ST.L 1921-1930) MERGED INTO THE NEW YORK CENTRAL IN 1930.

FYI: THE E&TH UNDER OPERATING AGREEMENT, RAN THE "EVANSVILLE BELT" FROM 1889 TO 1892.
