I have a challenge, simply because I have too many irons in the fire at present to do it.

Does anyone remember the "Festival Express"? This was an F unit, some smoothsides, and a few flat cars that carried Jerry Garcia (grateful dead), Janis Joplin, Buddy Guy and other artists across Canada in 1970 stopping at cities along the way to preform. It was a financial flop, but, a lost part of Rock & Roll history really. CN was the carrier, and was pretty much a "party train".. Anyway, I would like to see if anyone has ever modeled this consist, or thought about it?

On another note, on the last performance, Janis and Jerry presented the guy that financed this "party" with a thrown together "Token" to remember the party. It was an N scale CN F unit, a couple CN smoothsides, and a caboose, pretty much secured to a 2x6. I would really like to find out what ever happened to that, and where it is today.

Awesome flick - I believe the f unit et al were from the same Minitrix set that I recieved for Christmas around the same time. The set was manufactured in West Germany and was well detail and state of the art in those days. It was my first introduction to model railroading. I still have all the rolling stock but the F unit is long gone.
