Does anybody make an N csale centercab switcher, or can anybody give tips on how to kitbash one? Adam
I think Kato made one a while back, over 10 years ago, it was a Japaneis (damn thats not the right spelling) prototype and Con Cor imported some to the US and gave them American road name's, I've only seen a picture but if you get on of these they dont look to far from a American engine and Im sure you could Kitbash it to look like something American. Here's an overview of the model and the prototype... http://www.users.qwest.net/~spookshow/centercab.html
I have one of those ConCor/Kato center cab switchers. It came in all Kato packaging though. I can't believe that it is almost 20 years old now. Runs pretty good but is a little noisy. It looks good too. Mine came painted for City Services but has since been repainted light blue with a white stripe. When the grain elevator and associated track are complete on my layout, it will have a nice little job swithing grain cars for as long as it runs! It's just a great little engine. Even though it isn't a US prototype, it is still one of my favorite engines. It is a great piece of equipment to have if you can find one. ------------------
