I just got my new Model Railroader today, and seen the AZL add with the picture of the UP SD70M with flaired radiator housings and the big flag on the side. I had dropped UP as one of my favorite roads for years due to their greedy licensing practices, but after reading the article in MR about how Mikes Train House fought the borg and won a much better licensing agreement for all model railroaders, UP won me back. Now I have always liked the UP locos, but refused to buy until hearing UP made up with us. This is the beauty I want now. I also have some of the UP GP7's on order, as they are perfect to run with my NP GP9's in a pseudo Camas Praire kind of way.:shade: -Robert
The new UP with flared radiators - SWEET! Rob, put me down for one. I'm headed out of town on business and want to reserve one in case I forget to call before I leave. Awesome. I can hardly wait for the NS 70M. Humm... by any chance, could you replicate the road numbers used on the Athearn N SD70Ms? I never thought you would ask... They are 2600, 2591, and 2605. http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH10712 http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH10711 http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH10710 Can anyone say "forced perspective"?
Oh yeah, the UP numbers are 5007, 4820, and 4915. http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH10748 http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH10747 http://www.athearn.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=ATH10746
