This pertains to a discussion we had some time ago about Camp Douglas Wis. had a interlocking tower where the Ohmaha line crossed the Milw. Road. I asked and searched all over to find the answer. All the pictures I could find of the site were close ups of the station, or far away shots with trees in the way. Well I finally found the answer!! I talked to an old women in town who's husband was an artist and had oil paintings of the town. There it was on the wall in her guest room, A painting of the Camp Douglas station with the tower coming right out of the roof. The station was so close to the interchange that they built the tower right into it!!!! [IMG]

Sounds familiar. As though I should have something in my collection. Ummm, I mean mess.....

There were a few other such structures around the Milw. Green Island, Iowa comes into mind. Don't know if they had any standard design. But it certainly is a unique feature.

According to the pictue the station looked like standard Milw. buildings, like in Mauston, Tomah, and Lyndon Station. Except it had a tower on the roof! [IMG]
