The camera is here -and it is FUN! I still need to learn how to control the depth of the field - the focus has problems doing it automatically, but I don't blame it for that one bit! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/kaurb/Trains/ClublayoutWindmill1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/kaurb/Trains/ClublayoutRedcar1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/kaurb/Trains/ClubLayoutNewRiverOiltruck.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/kaurb/Trains/ClubLayoutCKDerilectCar.jpg
Benny, great photos and framing. Regards depth of field...will your camera let you change the f-Stop, like up to 16? If so, then the depth of field should really become longer. Just a thought.
It's a Canon 350d Rebel XT...it IS a rather Nice camera! Mind you , I just picked it up yesterady and started shooting - now its off to figuring out all of the settings! Three of the bridges were built by a fellow Atlas Forum member, he literally put all three of them together in the timeframe of about one month. The Black bridge was put together by The same persone who finished the scenicing of Crown King, Tom, and the Trestle bridge has been there for quite a long time. I rather like the ability to pick up woodgrain on a heavily painted HO 4x4 from 3-6 feet.
Benny, the Rebel XT is an extremely versatile camera. I've had mine about a year, and am still discovering new features and techniques. If you stop the aperture down to f-32, the depth of field will be excellent...though you'll probably need a tripod because the shutter will be open for many seconds. BTW, the Rebel's tractor image is impressive!
Is that a Dodge Power Wagon? What scale? If you say N, my next question is where can I get one or 4? NICE shots! That's a cemera I have lusted over for a long time. :shade:
This INDEED a Dodge powerwagon! You can get them form Busch, If I remember right! Some of them come in gaudy colors - this one came in SKY BLUE! The nice thing is, its a snap-tite kit - you can COMPLETELY disasseblt this truck without breaking ANYTHING And repain it. I replaced the club layout's !979 Fords with one of these and a couple other pickups - the layout date is 1953, see? They also have them available with flatbeds, and another version too, if I remember right.
