Turns out, I was heading westbound on the Southwest Chief, Saturday morning on the 11th. I did see the pass covered by snow, and this was my first time coming through the pass on a train. (I may have driven in to LA via the interstate, but I don't think so. It was early morning, and I was eating breakfast on the train and simply admiring the view. It wasn't really enough light out yet to get good pictures, so I didn't.
