As most of you know, Cajon Pass has had fires and droughts for the past couple of years, to the point that the public wasn't allowed in there till the vegetation recovers. Well, last week I had the good fortune to see that indeed the past rains have done the old pass good - the only green is no longer ONLY on the hoods of the pumpkins roaring by!! From the picture you can still make out the charred remains of the old growth, but behind it you can see new life peeking through...
Great shot. I like the way you framed the loco with the overpass. You would be surprised how fast nature can recover from a fire. It is really good to be there and see it happening.
