Shot this pair of CNW covered hoppers in the consist of an eastbound CSX freight crossing the NS and HOG diamonds in Cordele, GA last Saturday. Notice they ain't Borged.
And they're coupled to another fallen flag, Missouri Pacific (although from the looks of the reporting marks, it probably had a UP herald on the far right end of the car). Neat! Thanks for sharing.
After over ten years, those hoppers still look fairly decent. So many merged company cars tend to look like scrap yard refugees.... :teeth: Boxcab E50
Hate to say this, but there's not too many cars without some graffiti these days. You are right- they have weathered well considering they've been earning their keep for so long. That, and the brightness of the yellow, is what amazed me.
